History
In 1996, HVAC Equipment Sales was established to provide a complete one stop shop for the HVAC industry. Being located in the heart of the Salt Lake Valley, our cell phone dispatched trucks and "will call" counter are just minutes away from your job-site.
Our sales team has been brought together with the goal of developing and providing the expertise expected by a manufacturers rep, but yet maintain the simple supply house (warehouse) atmosphere where you can supply your complete air side project within days.
Our mission is to provide educated and dedicated support to contractors and engineers. Provide quality products and services that allow others to complete their projects in a timely and lucrative manner. Whether your project is a design/build or plan & spec project, our collective years of combined experience is readily available to give you the resources and products you need to fulfill your projects.

Lonnie Knigge 1951-2010
In the beginning, Lonnie Knigge and Eric Andrus had a vision to be able to provide a central warehouse that would house everything from equipment, duct-work, flex, grilles, and diffusers. Basically everything you would need in a one stop shop right down to the sheet metal screws and tools. We also wanted to provide representation to a number of quality product lines and brands.
Through dedication to our customers and an endless desire to provide service to our friends, Lonnie Knigge and Eric Andrus built the business from meager beginnings. It all started with a truck, a phone, and a handful of storage sheds, then blooming into the current location with well over a half a million dollars worth of inventory and a solid line of quality manufacturers and products.
In 2005 unfortunate health problems caused Lonnie to take an early retirement. It was hard for him to turn away from his years of hard work and service, but he knew he had no choice but to call it quits. His spirit still fills the office and we continue to move forward with the dream that started years ago with a coin flip to decide what the name of the business would be. Eric has continued with the same philosophies and goals and a quickened desire to make HVAC Equipment Sales a leader in sales and customer service.
Lonnie has asked that he be remembered as a co-founder of HVAC Equipment Sales and with that we leave him a prayer that he may enjoy whatever highway his Harley is taking him down.
